Herry Han is Founding Partner of Lightspeed China Partners, a leading China-focused early-stage venture capital fund, focusing on consumer Internet, Internet plus, enterprise service, hard and core technology, and other sectors. It manages more than US$2 billion through seven USD funds and one RMB fund with offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
Prior to founding Lightspeed China, Herry was Executive Director with Lightspeed Venture Partners, a leading US venture capital firm with US$8 billion under management. He joined the Shanghai office in 2008.
Herry's investments include Xpeng Motors ((NYSE:XPEV), Full Truck Alliance, FinVolution Group (NYSE:FINV), Tujia Sweetome, FangDD (NASDAQ:DUO), Tencent Trusted Doctors (Trusted Doctors), Sunmi, Land Space, Black Fish, FanDeng Reading, etc.
Herry was on 2019 Forbes China List of Top VC in China and was awarded the 2018 Top VC investors in China by China Venture. For year 2017, 2018 and 2019, Herry was on the “Top 50 VC Investors in China” by leading financial media Jiemian. He has also been on the Cyzone.cn's list of “China Top 40 Investors under 40" for six years from 2014 to 2019.
Previously, Herry was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, assisting clients in hi-tech, telecom, media, automotive, and energy industries. He worked closely with board members at Fortune 500 and domestic clients. Additionally, he interacted closely with various domestic government bodies and on NGO projects.
Prior to McKinsey, Herry worked as an engineer at Microsoft China. He is the founder of a McKinsey alumni investors' group, ExMcK@Investment, which has more than 300 VC and PE members across China.
